Annual General Meeting 2021
An AGM With A Difference!
As Covid regulations eased at the start of summer, we were able to hold the AGM – in the Europa Hotel, Belfast on Thursday 10th June 2021. In keeping with Government guidelines, it was a greatly scaled back affair, with a strict limit on numbers attending and all Covid-19 rules adhered to. Those present on the day included Federation President Lady Anthony Hamilton, WI General Secretary Irene Sproule and all the outgoing and incoming Executive Members. This was an important date on the WI calendar as the new 2021-24 office bearers were elected. Speeches were given by outgoing Federation Chairman Collette Craig (2018-21), and outgoing Federation Honorary Treasurer Pamela Brown (2018-21) presented a detailed financial report on the Federation. The outgoing Chairman of the six Sub-Committee’s all relayed accounts of the work and activities they were able to carry out, despite the difficult, unpredictable year. While there was no guest speaker or ‘real life’ audience, all members from across the province were invited to tune in online via Zoom!
