Ballyrashane’s Special Afternoon Tea Party

The members of Ballyrashane WI were delighted to host an afternoon tea-party for a very special lady, Mrs Mae Stevenson, who reached her 100th birthday on Saturday 19th July. At the tea party Mae shared some of her cards and in particular the birthday wishes from Her Majesty and from Michael D Higgins, President of Ireland. Mrs Stevenson is still a very active member attending most meetings unless she has a prior engagement! Mrs Stevenson was formerly a member of Myroe WI and joined Ballyrashane WI in the early 70s. She has served as President in the past and continues to give support and encouragement to the members.
