“Down Memory Lane” was the theme of the November meeting. Ladies shared the stories attached to treasured items, including old photographs, a pianoforte medal, souvenirs, jewelry, figurines and memories of Portaferry.
The President congratulated Edwina Marr, Geraldine Gray and Patricia Gilchrist on their success in the Festival of the Spoken Word. A report of the Autumn Council meeting was presented by Edwina Marr.
The ballot in aid of the Earl Haig fund was won by Geraldine Gray and Jane Fitzpatrick was the birthday girl. Florence Hazlitt was awarded first prize in the competition for an old family photograph.
