Erne Area Quiz

On the first evening in February, teams from the nine branches in the Erne Area met in Tamlaght W.I. Hall for the annual Area Quiz.  The team members, their supporters and Executive Member, Norma Heap were welcomed by Lisnaskea President, Betty Birney.  Everyone enjoyed the great variety of questions and as in the Bowls Competition, Kesh W.I. emerged triumphant!!   The Kesh team, Sylvia Johnston, Vera Hamilton and Pat Hey beat Lisnaskea W.I. members Christine Cunningham, Linda Cassidy and Glenda Richmond by one point.  It was a close competition because most of the other teams were within a few points of the winning and second placed teams.  Norma Heap congratulated the Kesh team and  wished them well in the forthcoming Federation Final, she presented the Angela Jardine Silver Salver to the  Kesh ladies and prizes to both teams.  A welcome cup of tea was served by the Lisnaskea members and  words of thanks from both Betty and Norma brought an enjoyable evening to a close.
