Erne Area Meeting 2015
A very successful Erne Area Meeting, hosted by the members of Kesh W.I. was held in Kesh Primary School Wednesday 6th May 2015. A large attendance of members and guests were welcomed by Mrs Sylvia Johnston, Area Chairman. In attendance were Federation President, Lady Anthony Hamilton; past Federation Chairman Mrs Margaret Collinson, speaker for the evening; past Erne Area Excutive Member, Mrs Paddy Leeman and new Executive Member Mrs Norma Heap.
Mrs Collinson’s topic ‘Down Memory Lane’ proved most interesting, she shared her many memorable moments which were linked to her work within both the R.U.A.S. and the W.I.
The entertainment for the evening was provided by some members of Lisnaskea W.I. A poignant story of a young Fermanagh man who went off to fight in the First World War and never returned, the story was told through the reading of his letters to his family, song and narration. An excellent presentation.
After a delicious supper served by the Kesh W.I. members, Area Chairman, Mrs Sylvia Johnston thanked her branch members for their input and her Secretary, Mrs Mollie Linton for her invaluable assistance before wishing everyone a safe journey home.
