Erne Area Bowling Competition
Lisbellaw W.I. hosted the Area Bowling Competition in the local Parish Centre, everyone was very warmly welcomed by Lisbellaw President Betty Veitch. Six of the nine branches in the Area were represented, play was exciting throughout resulting in a final between Myrtle Hurst, Irvinestown W.I. and Anna Marshall, Kesh W.I. Both ladies played an extremely close game with Anna emerging as winner of the competition. Norma Heap, Erne Executive Member congratulated Anna on her achievement and presented prizes to both the winner and the runner-up. Anna will be presented with the Betty Birney Bowling Trophy at the Erne Area Meeting in May. Norma thanked all of the competitors for supporting the competition, she also thanked the members of Lisbellaw for organising the event and for their generous hospitality.
