The guest speaker will be Dr Michael McBrien, representing Mercy Ships UK. The consultant anaesthetist will discuss his aid work on board the ‘Africa Mercy’ – a state of the art charity hospital ship which is moored off the coast of Africa and is transforming the quality of life for some of the world’s poorest people. The ship is staffed by up to 400 volunteers from 40 nations – from surgeons and nurses, to cooks and engineers – who give up their time and money to be on board.
Lunch will be available to purchase in the Hotel on the day – in the Lobby Bar, the Piano Lounge and the Causerie restaurant. Those wishing to use the Causerie will be able to book a table on the morning of the event. Details of the respective menus can be viewed online:
