Rotation for the submission of Institute News reports

SIX action packed editions of our popular Ulster Countrywoman magazine will be published this WI season, Sept ’23 – Summer ’24:

1. ‘Starting the Season’ September 2023 / 2. Autumn 2023 / 3. Christmas 2023 /

 4. New Year 2024 / 5. Spring 2024 / 6. Summer 2024

Concise 70-word Institute News reports should be submitted according to the rota below:

In the New Year 2024 magazine, short Institute News reports for letters A & D will be published.

Please submit news for the most recent couple of months, or if compiling a brief overview of your Institute’s activities for the season so far, please stick to the upper word limit (140) and keep it concise.

*However: ALL Institutes can still submit photographs of members/group activities, as well as articles, anecdotes and any other creative content to be considered for the main ‘Features’ section of all issues of the magazine, and for the WI’s online platforms, at any time!

This includes interesting images of WI group activities, individual accomplishments, poetry, stories, details of new members, names for the ‘Memory’ column, anniversaries, etc.

The rota above only refers to the traditional short, 70-word Institute News reports, which don’t include photographs, and are published towards the back of the magazine.

All creative content must be emailed directly to:   editor@wini.org.uk
