Golf Competition 2017
WI Golfer Of The Year 2017
On what proved to be an ideal day for golf twenty-one ladies travelled to Tandragee Golf Club to compete in the annual ‘WI Golfer of the Year’ Competition, competing for the prestigious Milk Marketing Board Salver. On arrival, each competitor enjoyed a hot drink and a delicious scone, which was a welcomed start to the day. The first ladies made their way to the tee box at 10.30am and so the competition began. Taking roughly four hours to complete the course, the first of the ladies returned to the clubhouse around 2.30pm with the remaining competitors filtering in over the next couple of hours. On their return, they were served a delicious meal prepared by the club’s restaurant staff. With all of the competitors present, Magazine and Leisure Sub-Committee Chairman Ann McCurdy welcomed everyone, especially Federation Chairman Elizabeth who had travelled down to join the ladies for this important event. Elizabeth thanked all the ladies for taking part and Ann handed the announcement of the results over to Linda Peak, a member of the Committee who had organised the event.
Elizabeth thanked all the ladies for taking part and presented the awards as follows:
