Killinchy Women’s Institute – February News 2019
Opening Remarks & Health & Safety: – Our President Mrs Pamela Shanks welcomed members reminded members of the fire procedure.

A minutes silence was held for past member, Lucy Haslett for Kathleen’s husband and Shirley’s Nephew.
Pamela introduced our speaker for the evening, Elaine Hanna, who displayed an enormous amount of Aloe Vera products which are made from the Cactus plant jelly. Elaine gave us an in depth talk on their uses. Members were able to sample and purchase some of the products.
The vote of thanks was given by Margaret Gibson.
After supper minutes of November and December 2018 were read
Members were informed of A.G. M. information and dates.
Eileen gave members Cinema date of 20th March for 7.15pm and the film recommended was “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society”, Tickets, £7.00, help with sales would be appreciated.

Birthday girl for February, Lynne Weir.
Annual Quiz was held, winners to go to final in Parish hall, Ballynahinch where, Gail Taggart, Eileen Rooney, Jennifer Foreman, reserve. Mavis Russell.
The meeting was concluded with the singing of “The Country Women’s Song”.
