Discover more about the Women’s Institutes of Northern Ireland through our official magazine – the Ulster Countrywoman!
The Ulster Countrywoman is the Federation’s official in-house magazine – a colourful showcase of the activities and adventures of Women’s Institute members across Northern Ireland. Our magazine features a unique mixture of fact, fiction and fun – everything from creative crafts, cookery, campaigns and competitions, to quirky stories, informative articles, photographs and, of course, the latest WI news.
The WI season runs from September to June and six issues of the Ulster Countrywoman magazine are produced during this time:
The Ulster Countrywoman is one of the main lines of communication between members in Institutes throughout the province and was a lifeline to many during the pandemic. The magazine is not limited to WI circles, in fact it is shared amongst friends, family and further afield, with loyal subscribers throughout the UK and copies sent around the world, to destinations as far flung as Australia and Canada.
If you would like to subscribe or contribute to the Ulster Countrywoman, or advertise in an upcoming issue, please contact our Editor via email for more information, including rates, dates and deadlines:
