Quiz Final 2015

WI ladies from twenty-one Areas converged at Hillsborough Village Centre on 27^th May 2015 to compete in the annual Quiz Final. Chairman of the Magazine & Leisure Sub- Committee Roberta Hall welcomed the new Federation Chairman Elizabeth Warden, the teams, Quizmaster Mr Robert McGarrity and a large supporting audience.

After a taxing first five rounds the results were: 1st Riada with 31 points, 2nd Ranfurly, Iveagh and Roe Valley with 28 points. After a wonderful supper provided by Ravarnette WI, seven teams went through to the second half of the Quiz. These teams were Ards, Iveagh, Knockagh, Quoile, Ranfurly, Riada and Roe Valley. Roe Valley were the winners by a good margin, with Ranfurly and Iveagh joint second.

After presenting the winners with their silver salver, Federation Chairman Elizabeth Warden congratulated them and the runners-up. She graciously thanked the Magazine & Leisure Committee for organising the event. We in turn give her our best wishes and support as she embarks on her three year term as our new Federation Chairman.

Roberta Hall then added her thanks to the teams, Quizmaster Robert McGarrity, to Ravarnette WI who provided supper and to the caretaker for setting up the hall. We sincerely thank all who took part and supported the teams. Without this support the event would not be a success. We are looking forward to seeing you all next year!
