Scrabo, Ards and Rowallane boots were made for walking (A.C.W.W.)
Scrabo Area met with their circle of friends from Ards and Rowallane Areas for an arranged walk in
Crawfordsburn Country Park to raise funds for A.C.W.W. It was an inclement day ,but as we set off the sky brightened and the sun peeped out.
We were most fortunate to have our out going Chairman Margaret with us on one of her last appearances before handing over the chain of office the following week.
Not only that but unknown to anyone we were privileged to have also present the incoming new Chairman Elizabeth Warden who was voted in the following week.
What a lovely exciting time as both ladies have been part of our circle of friends and Elizabeth is our International Chairperson.
Having put the world to rights as we trekked up and down wooded paths we arrived back at the centre where a welcome cuppa was enjoyed by all.
I must commend Fiona on her so well behaved dogs .They were even allowed off the lead towards the end of our walk.
