Seaforde Women’s Institute – January 2017 news

Posted January 15, 2017 by Quoile in Local Areas

Our January meeting, after members held a moments silence for Sadie Brown, a faithful member who passed away on Boxing Day, took the form of an auction, with President Margaret Broome acting as auctioneer. Members had brought along items to sell with the money going into Institute funds. It was both good fun and a profitable evening with £90 being raised. Lorraine Bothwell told of her experience as part of a team from NI who went to arrange flowers in Westminster Abbey for Remembrance Day. Competition winner was Helen Rea, with Anne Blue second and Margaret Broome third. Ballot was won by Margaret Broome and Birthday gift went to Vivienne Dumigan.
