Seaforde Women’s Institute – May news 2019
President Jennifer Heenan welcomed everyone to our penultimate meeting before our summer break. Special welcome to Debbie Wilson, who had come along to do some armchair Yoga. She put us through our paces with a good, but not too strenuous, workout, explaining the benefits of each move and what they can be used to combat. She answered all our questions and finished off with a short meditation session. Cilla Green thanked Debbie for a most enjoyable evening. Our competition for a Souvenir from the Orient was won by Hilda Fleming with Mavis McKinstry second and Jenny Heenan third. Mavis also won the Birthday Gift and Cilla Green the ballot. Annabel, as a member of the Balmoral sub-committee, updated us on the arrangements for the Show. Our next meeting will be in June (date to be finalised) when we are visiting the Forde Estate.
