The new web site is great and will bring us into the 21st century and hopefully as it is up to date will help to encourage more members to come and join.
Irene, we at Clones Church of Ireland are hosting a flower festival on the 2th 29th 30th June. Proceeds are for the restoration of our church which sits high on the diamond in Clones Co. Monaghan. Our floral theme is ‘A celebration of Love’ from Adam adn Eve to Cassandra and Thomas Hand’
The Clogher Bishop, John Mc Dowell will officially open the service on Friday and it runs to Sunday evening.
Your members interested in lace may know that Cassandra Hand wife of the rector Thomas Hand introduced lace making to clones during the famine years as a cottage industry.Clones Lace became world famous. One of the displays will depict the lace theme, others marriage as in the bible. WE will have fifteen exhibitions and this will be a great photographic opportunity for keen photographers!
We also have historical walks, talks and a bridal exhibition. Teas served and groups are welcome but will need to book. Contact myyself Christine Rusk, 07570803516 or Canon Helene Steed 003534756962.
