Join in with Women Walk The World in 2018!
The official ACWW Day is Sunday 29th April 2018 and Woman Walk The World events will be taking place all across the globe on and around this date – so now is the time for WI Areas and Institutes to organise their walks in support of ACWW!
Please start planning now and arrange your walk on or close to this date. All proceeds are in aid of ACWW to finance the great work the organisation does in helping women and their families worldwide.
Your organised walk doesn’t have to be a strenuous hike, it can be a short, leisurely stroll through your local neighbourhood or a longer ramble around the countryside – whatever suits your members!
In previous years, some Institutes/Areas have combined their walk with a coffee morning for the non-walkers, giving everyone the opportunity to support ACWW. Some WIs take a walk at a local beauty spot, finishing with a very rewarding cup of tea/coffee and scone afterwards! You could even add a competition, raffle or tea party as part of your walk to raise extra funds and involve more people. The choice is yours, so get creative!
