Armagh County Show
Gosford Area of Women’s Institutes had a very successful competition at the Armagh County Show with 1st place being awarded to Salter’s Grange W.I. for their beautiful display of a child’s knitted hat and scarf, a healthy lunch box and a wild flower arrangement all artistically presented.
2nd place was won by Collone W.I.
with Jerrettspass and Caledon tying for 3rd.
Thank you, to Lorna from Salter’s Grange for portraying the attributes of the Women’s Institute so capably on Radio Ulster’s “Your place and mine” which was broadcast live from the show and to all the ladies who participated by entering and for their enthusiasm to promote the W.I.
