A meeting of Killyleagh WI was held on Thursday 8 September 2016 when the topic was how Killyleagh WI could possibly continue with such a small membership.  Efforts had been made by many of the members over the past few years to encourage new ladies to join without success.
After much discussion it was decided that due to the decline in membership there was no alternative but to come to the sad conclusion that we would close Killyleagh WI.  So it is with a heavy heart it is announced that Killyleagh WI has closed after being in existence for 77 years.
It was decided that monies in hand would be divided between WI charities and the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
Members will continue to meet on the second Thursday of the month at 11am for coffee and a chat to keep up the friendship which they have all enjoyed over many years.

    Holywood WI welcomes new members
In the past few years we have welcomed half a dozen new members and we have a couple more poised to join us. We meet at Holywood Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church on the second Friday of each month at 7.30 pm and would be delighted to see you.
