Erne Area WI Quiz
The Annual Erne Area WI Quiz was held in the Tamlaght WI hall hosted by the members of Kesh WI. Each of the nine Institutes in the Erne Area fielded a team of three members. Mrs Sylvia Johnston welcomed the teams and their supporters to the competition and introduced the Quiz Master, Mrs Paddy Leeman, Erne Area Executive Member. The Brookeborough team, Carol Trimble, Shiela Carson and Christine Taylor emerged the winners with three teams equal as runners up, the Newtownbutler team members Stella Talbot, Anne McQuillan and Patricia Hutchinson, the Lisnaskea team members Deidre Boyd, Linda Cassidy and Glenda Richmond and the Derrygonnelly team members, Kathy Kerr, Robena Elliott and Norma Heap. Mrs Leeman congratulated the members of the Brookeborough team on their achievements and presented the Angela Jardine Silver Salver, she also wished them every success at the Federation Quiz Final of the competition to be held in Hillsborough Village Centre on 27th May. The members of Kesh WI served a welcome supper. Sylvia Johnston thanked Tamlaght WI for the use of the hall, she also thanked Mrs Leeman and passed on her good wishes to the winning Brookeborough team.
