Scrabo at A.G.M.2015
Well ladies ,if you were not at the A.G.M. last Thursday at Balmoral Hall you missed, in my opinion, one of the best.
Awards were presented to the talented members who had submitted 626 craft entries to be judged.
Well done ladies Lunch then followed. Scrabo group enjoyed our rolls , sannies not forgetting the craic.
Invited guests then brought warm greetings from I.C.A. / S.W.R.I. /T`WOMEN`S GUILD
Lady Anthony Hamilton then introduced the guest speaker;Julie Summers, author of “Jambusters“
What a treat lay ahead for us .She held us spellbound as she narrated war time stories and events.
Members will be delighted to know that the book has been commissioned for a T.V. Series entitled “HOME FIRES”
This will be on screen in the Autumn. Look out for her Books. A good read.
Retiring Executive Members were thanked for all their dedication to the Federation and this was followed by the
presentation of badges to the newly elected Executive. Good luck ladies.
Scrabo thanks Jenni Munn for accepting the nomination on behalf of Scrabo Area.
We also wish to record our sincere thanks to retiring Fed. Chairman Margaret for her wonderful input over the past 6 years.
A sincere Vote of Thanks was given by yours truly. I even suggested to Julie her next book could be THE FIFTY SHADES OF THE W.I.
Loud laughter followed. The Countrywoman`s song brought the meeting to an end.
A wonderful day out among friends. Betty Ballyrogan W.i.

chat on Hydebank .Should be very interesting .Put a reminder somewhere!!!!! Betty Ballyrogan W.I.
Sounds like it was a great AGM. Sorry I missed it. Baby minding duties called. Must read Julie’s book before tv series. Well done to Betty for giving the vote of thanks. Heard it was fantastic. And congratulations to Jenni on becoming our new Scrabo area executive member. Good luck for the future.
Thank you Patricia. Your comments were much appreciated by Jenni and myself. A.G.M.`s can be heavy at times but this was very interesting.
Chairman Margaret will be greatly missed but there are always great women coming through the ranks as well we know from past experience.
Lambing just finished so I am enjoying Golf. F.1 and Moto G.P.
Am I a sad person or am I not ?
Enjoyed our committee meeting last week.
Looking forward to our Spring Area Meeting . Many thanks Betty
