Killinchy Women’s Institute – May 2017 news
President Lynne Weir welcomed members and visitors from Crossgar, Downpatrick and Moneyrea Institutes to our visitor’s evening. A special welcome was given to our speaker for the evening, Mrs.Betty Lyttle from Portaferry Institute .
Betty gave us a very interesting and informative illustrated talk on the history and the workings of A.C.W.W. , as well as a peek at what happens at the Triennial Conferences and the various projects supported by the A.C.W.W. Our donations really make a difference to the lives of women and their communities. A cheque was presented to Quoile Executive member Edwina Marr to help with A.C.W.W. projects.
Competition winners for a money box were Kathleen McConnell and Pamela Shanks
Ballot winners were Gail Taggart and Jennifer Foreman and visitors J.Elliot and a member from Moneyrea Institute.
Birthday girls were Jean Finlay and Grace Morrison who will be celebrating her 102nd Birthday.

Cinema night was held on 24th May at The Tudor Cinema when we enjoyed the film Florence Foster Jenkins .
