A MEETING OF FRIENDS
February saw members from Ards and Scrabo Areas wending their way to Ballywalter for the combined
Area Bowls Competition.
This was faultlessly organised by Ards Area assisted by Ballyblack W.I who provided a beautiful Afternoon Tea.
This all helped to turn a wet and windy day into a warm and friendly get together with friends, olde and new.
Scrabo winner was CAROL MURRAY from Holywood W.I with runner up SHEELAGH DAVIDSON from Ballyrogan W.I.
Ards winner was HEATHER LEMON Ballyblack W.I with MARJORIE ARMSTRONG Ballywalter W.I runner up.
All present were very impressed as to how friendly an atmosphere the matches were played under.
We thank all who went forward to represent their Institutes and send our very best wishes to Carol and Heather
as they head to the finals in Newtownards on 8/3/14 Starts 12.00
We were privileged to have Executive Members Margaret Collinson and Elizabeth Warden joining us and we
appreciated their presence as they are both very busy ladies. All in all a great day`s pleasure.
