President Lynne Weir welcomed everyone to our March Meeting especially Johnny McDowell from Inde Fude , an Artisan Food Shop in Comber. Johnny is passionate about about sourcing , selling and promoting good local produce and is a great supporter of local food markets and events including Comber’s Farmer’s Market. We were treated to a tasting session of a few  locally produced cheeses and had opportunity to purchase some to take home. No one went home hungry.

Competition winners for a cheese knife were Helen Warden and Maureen Marsh. Ballot winners were Jennifer Foreman and Mae Kelly .Birthday girls for March were Jackie Bennett, Mavis Russell, Eileen Reid and Pamela Shanks.

The evening was brought to a close with the singing of The Country Women’s Song and Lynne wished everyone a safe journey home.
