Annalong – School prize Giving & Charity Presentation 2018
ANNALONG WI
Annalong WI recently held their Schools Prizegiving Night and Charity Presentation.
We are always thrilled to have the local schools support our annual competition, this year the theme was an essay and Rosemary Davis had the hard job to judge all the fantastic entries received.
The winner this year was Ruby Newell, Annalong Primary School.
Highly Commended were:

Grainne Rooney, Moneydarragh Primary School

We were also pleased to welcome Michael Shiels, Donna McConnell and Olive Donnan from our nominated charity Austism Support Kilkeel. Michael gave a short talk on the charity and how they support local families in the area. Iris Gordon presented them with cheque on behalf of Annalong WI.
We all enjoyed a lovely supper provided by a number of our ladies for which they were thanked.
A large number of our visitors and members won raffle prizes.
A short business meeting of the group followed and the evening ended with the singing of the countrywomans song.
