The district of Iveagh occupies much of the southern and western part of County Down. It stretched from just south of Lough Neagh to the foothills of the Mourne Mountains.

There are 10 institutes in our area.  They are: Artana,  Ballievey,  Closkelt,  Fourtowns,  St Johns, Loughbrickland, Dollingstown, Moira, Warringstown and Rathfriland.

Area Exectutive Member from 2018-2021 is Sandra Ledlie (Moira WI)

Each Institute has its own character of which each is very proud of and we get together throughout the year at area meetings and competitions, hear speakers and have some fun and of course supper.

We have two area meetings in the year,

Our spring meeting is usually held on the last Friday evening in April .

Our autumn meeting on the last Friday evening in September.

Our annual quiz is usually held on the last Saturday afternoon in February.

We also have representatives who take it in turn to enter the bowls finals

We also have a very enthusiastic craft class which meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month in the community room at Tesco in The Outlet in Banbridge.
