President Deirdre Ferris welcomed everyone to Visitors’ Night including guests from neighbouring Institutes. The speaker was Rev Stephen Robinson who provided a fascinating account of his sailing tour round Ireland accompanied by his wife, Julia. Stephen discussed some of the interesting places they visited during this voyage and entertained everyone by singing sea songs and playing nautical tunes on his violin. Florence Hazlitt gave the vote of thanks.
Debbie McKibben and Geraldine Gray were congratulated on their success in the City of Belfast Autumn show.
The ballot prizes were won by Colette Fitzsimons and Margaret Brundle.
Florence Hazlitt came first in the competition for a seascape picture.
