Vice-president Rosalind Wheeler chaired the February meeting and updated members about forthcoming Institute events. In the first half of the programme Geraldine Gray led a very enjoyable chair based exercise routine.
After supper members of the drama group performed a one act play entitled “War Waged By Women” that celebrated the centenary of women being granted the right to vote for the first time.
Julia Robinson was the birthday girl and Renee Finney was the ballot winner. The competition for a Valentine poem was won by Jane Fitzpatrick who offered a second ballot prize of a bouquet of roses which was won by Lorraine Girvan.
