On a pleasant June day ladies from Downpatrick and Ardglass Institutes travelled by coach to Malahide in county Dublin to visit the historic castle and gardens. The very enjoyable outing was carefully planned by social secretary Deirdre Ferris. During the trip there was an opportunity to spend time in the Visitors’ Centre, join a guided tour of the castle , shop in the Avoca store or go to the marina and coastal walk in Malahide village.
The day concluded with an evening meal at the Burrendale hotel, Newcastle.
